Because the use of the English language is so predominant in the world of Bible translation, Wycliffe Associates has developed our English Language Learning (ELL) program. This program teaches English to national translators and other support staff so they can:
Wycliffe Associates offers country-specific programs to our ELL teachers, and usually this training is done on a short-term mission trip. If you or someone you know would be interested in helping accelerate Bible translation by serving as an ELL instructor, click here to find out about our current opportunities.
The special opportunities through KidZone International, the Wycliffe Associates kids’ ministry, let you impact the lives of girls and boys all over the world. You can volunteer short-term to teach a Vacation Bible School program to translators’ children during regional conferences.
These conferences serve as vital times of learning, spiritual enrichment, fellowship, and planning for translation teams. Your involvement ensures their kids have an equally inspiring time!
“KidZone is really an open door—to touch the world of Bible translation—and also the churches here in America, because they are for the first time beginning to understand what the world of Bible translation is. So many people have walked through the door thinking they can do a VBS abroad. And then they leave thinking what can I do for Bible translation?’

You can also serve as a volunteer teacher for a missionary school or missionary family. Many missionary families feel they must leave the field to provide their children with a good education.
But, with the help of volunteer teachers, translators can stay in the field, continue with the work God has called them to, and have peace of mind, knowing that their children are receiving an excellent education.
