Accelerating Bible Translation in Asia
More than 1,000 translators are currently working on over 400 Bible translation projects in Asia. But we’ve still got a long way to go to reach the Vision 2025 goal of starting translations for the remaining 879 languages in this area by the year 2025. The need for volunteer support is at an all-time high. Click through the links below for updates about out how Bible translation is flourishing in this part of the world—and how you can become involved.
Where You Can Serve
Asia may seem strange and foreign to most Westerners, but it is home to more than half of the people on the planet! If you want to go where the people are, you need to consider volunteering in Asia. There is a far greater diversity of cultures and languages in Asia than in any other region. Furthermore, the geographical differences are extreme—from tiny islands that are barely above sea level to the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Click on a country below to see some of the locations where volunteers are needed today.

Volunteer Opportunities
Don’t think you have the skills to help with Bible translation? You may be surprised. The challenging work of translating the Scriptures requires dedicated people of all backgrounds and talents, from accountants and computer technicians to mechanics and schoolteachers. Click here for a comprehensive list of volunteer opportunities now available in Asia.
Team Trip Opportunities
If you’ve never been on a Wycliffe Associates team trip, you don’t know what a blessing you’re missing. These short-term mission experiences are ideal for those with limited time, and they play a key role in accelerating Bible translation so that Bibleless people will one day be able to read the Scriptures
in their own language. Click here for information about upcoming Asia team trips.
Current Project Updates
Thanks to the generous support of caring people like you, exciting developments are underway in many parts of Asia that will help speed up Bible translation for the nearly 900 language groups still waiting to read God’s Word in their heart language. Here’s a taste of what’s going on in the area.
