The item on my “to do” list, just prior to writing you this email message, was to make a phone call to one of our partners. To my knowledge, I’ve never met the person I called. I didn’t even recognize her name. Like thousands of other ministry partners, she has been including Wycliffe Associates in her prayers and stewardship for years, sight unseen. I phoned her because she had been talking with another Wycliffe Associates volunteer, Tony Amaradio, and he encouraged me to call.

Tony is in the business of financial planning. About five years ago, he began offering his time and expertise to our ministry partners, at no charge, to assist them in their financial stewardship. Not only does Tony offer his own time, but he also involves the other financial and legal professionals who are part of his firm. Through this service, he has been a blessing to hundreds of Wycliffe Associates partners.

When I spoke with this particular ministry partner today she mentioned that she had spent some time talking with Tony about her financial situation, but that she was particularly blessed that Tony took time to pray with her about her upcoming surgery. She said, “I’ve talked to a lot of financial advisors who all think they can do something that no one else can do, but I’ve never had one pray with me.”

Tony would be embarrassed to know that I’m mentioning any of this to you. So why am I mentioning it? Because I want you to know that Tony is involved with Wycliffe Associates because he believes in the power of God’s Word, the power of prayer, and the power of stewardship.
