Several times each year, we provide KidZone programs for missionary kids
while their parents meet for annual strategic planning conferences. These teams
always include opportunities to learn firsthand about the challenges and
opportunities for Bible translation as well as providing spiritual encouragement
to the families that are serving.
As 2009 draws to a close, we are already beginning to plan for our 2010
programs.
From February through April, translation teams in five separate countries will
be holding their annual conferences. We have team leaders already beginning
preparations. The teams will be between six to eight people and can include
individuals or couples.
Because of our commitment to the safety of our kids, we are very careful in
selecting team members for this ministry. We are looking for mature men and
women who have the highest standards of personal conduct and care for kids.
Each team will gather in Orlando, Florida, for training and team-building before
traveling overseas together.
Here are the dates and locations for the spring 2010 teams:
Chad—(January 30–February
14, 2010) in N’Djamena, Chad
Ethiopia—(March 24–April
4, 2010) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Cameroon—(March 25–April
8, 2010) in Yaoundé, Cameroon
Thailand—(March 29–April
11, 2010) in Chiang Mai, Thailand
East Asia—specific dates
