Papua New Guinea (PNG) is an amazing place—a volcanic island in
the South Pacific, steep mountains covered with emerald green
rainforest, over 800 unique languages spoken, and the largest
concentration of Bible translation in progress in the world.
For several years now, more Wycliffe Associates have served in
PNG than at any other overseas location. Each year between 120 and
150 volunteers serve some portion of their year in PNG. And in
order to support and coordinate this work, we have six Wycliffe
Associates families that serve in PNG full-time.
Leading and managing this Wycliffe Associates team of staff and
volunteers, and coordinating with our partners in Bible translation
there, is the responsibility of our Wycliffe Associates program
manager. Later this year, we are anticipating a transition in this
leadership position, so we want to begin now to identify a couple to
assume this vital responsibility.
Ideally, this couple should be willing to commit to serving for
at least two years. Building strong relationships with partners,
staff, and volunteers is an important element of this role.
In addition to leading the Wycliffe Associates team in PNG, this
couple will serve as members of our Pacific Area leadership team,
helping to assure that we respond to Bible translation priorities
throughout the Pacific with appropriate resources. Leadership and
management experience is important. Spiritual maturity is essential.
Perhaps you've served seasonally in one of our U.S. locations or
on one of our international teams. Or, perhaps you are just
beginning a new season of availability to serve.
If God has given you a heart for helping others maximize their
potential, and a desire to invest your time and talent in ways that
will impact eternity, we'd love to talk with you. Just reply to web@wycliffeassociates.org or call us toll-free at 1-800-THE WORD (800-843-9673).

our WA program manager in PNG. Let us know if you might be that
person!
