Wycliffe Associates E-Opportunities

When Wycliffe Associates committed to support translation teams worldwide to begin translations in every language needing one by the year 2025  (Vision 2025), we knew this meant enabling volunteers to serve at any time and any place. In order to make this possible, we committed to recruit and assign leaders at strategic locations for Bible translation who would plan and prepare the way for volunteers to fill high-priority assignments. Over the last ten years, we have proven again and again that the key to strengthening volunteer support for Bible translation is putting leaders in place—and letting them lead.

Today we have leaders serving in 15 countries, but we need additional leaders to join this team in order to strengthen our support for current and future translation teams.

These are the top five locations needing additional leaders:

  		•  Cameroon – Program manager needed to lead a growing team supporting Bible translation in 160 languages.
  •      		 Papua New Guinea – Site volunteer coordinator needed to join an established team supporting the largest international volunteer team serving Bible translation.
  •      		 Sudan – Site volunteer coordinator needed to support volunteers serving national and expatriate translators working in a very challenging environment.
  •      		 Burkina Faso – Site volunteer coordinator needed to develop and lead volunteer support for translation teams and training center development.
  •      		 France – Site volunteer coordinator needed to lead volunteers serving Wycliffe France in support of Bible translation across Northern Africa.
