The last time I sent an email regarding our need for Wycliffe Associates field leaders, I received some interesting responses questioning whether I really wanted “leaders” or “managers.” The answer is, “Yes!” We definitely need men and women with leadership vision and creativity. We also need them to be able to convert these into action. Some may think these qualities are incompatible, but our current field leaders prove that God’s people can do both well!
 
Wycliffe Associates has a continuing need for men and women who have a vision to support the involvement of volunteers in a wide range of assignments with Bible translation teams overseas.  The key to involving volunteers is local preparation and support at the field location. Site volunteer coordinators (SVCs) are the link between our Wycliffe Associates recruiting team in the U.S. and the Bible translation teams overseas. The SVC provides arrival information; arranges travel, housing, and food; provides local orientation; and virtually anything else that a volunteer coming to a new place would require. We are looking for men, women, or couples who love people, who have a servant’s heart, and who want to be involved in the advancement of Bible translation. If you are an adventurous person, organized, and with some computer skills—we want to talk to you!
 
We are also looking for people with management experience for the role of program manager (PM). Our program managers are assigned to locations where we have an SVC as well as other Wycliffe Associates staff. They are responsible for managing all of the Wycliffe Associates activity in a specific location in collaboration with our partner ministries. We currently have critical needs for SVCs and PMs in 10 locations worldwide: 

Each of these positions is open to volunteers or supported staff.  For continuity, it would be ideal to consider a two-year commitment.  Each position is important to support the life-changing work that is going on in these locations. Each job is also assured of changing your life as you invest your time and talents in the advancement of Bible translation.
