Time flies. It seems like it was just a few months ago that we
were praying for God’s provision for a business manager for a team
of Bible translators working in a very strategic location.
But, in reality God answered that prayer two years ago when a
tremendous couple working in other roles within Wycliffe Associates
stepped up to the challenge.
For two years I’ve remembered them in prayer, thanked God for their
service, and counted the blessings that have arisen because of their
leadership. It has truly been exciting to see how God has advanced
Bible translation through this couple.
One of the hard lessons I’m still trying to learn is that “For
everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under
heaven” (Eccl. 3:1). While I might like the current season to
last much longer, God may have another plan. In a few months, the
initial commitment of this couple will conclude.
For some months, we’ve been anticipating another individual to
transition into this responsibility, but we’ve just received word
that he is moving in a different direction. Apparently God has
another plan.
You may be a part of that plan!
We are looking for someone with business and personnel management
experience, along with a heart for advancing Bible translation. This
role directly impacts 27 languages in this country and vital support
for work in a neighboring country with less than one percent
Christians.
The assignment is located in the nation’s capital, working within a
large mission community that has good schools and a great
international church.
If you, or someone you know, have business experience and would like
more details on this service opportunity, just reply to web@wycliffeassociates.org
or call Tim Coleman, toll-free at 1-800-THE WORD (800-843-9673).
Tim would love to talk with you about how you can be a vital part of
this team.
Isaiah 55:11 says, “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It
will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and
achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
Your business experience may be God’s preparation for you to share
in accomplishing His purposes for millions of people.
I’m praying that God will move you to respond.
