9/23/2009: Seeking Answers
Bougainville Island, Papua New Guinea: In the wake of civil war in the late 1980s, many people on the Island are searching for answers to life's uncertainties. As a result, varieties of spiritual options are springing up. Pray that God’s people will be able to stand strong in Christ when confronted with these beliefs, not yielding to the pressure of relatives or others to join in. Pray that people will use the Scriptures they have in their languages to evaluate the things they hear. Pray they may compassionately share the light of the Gospel and lead fellow citizens to Jesus.
