Gambia and Senegal: After eight years of preparation, survey, linguistic analysis and building up a network of Karoninkas, translation should begin sometime during 2012. The people are interested and motivated to begin Bible translation, but there is not yet an obvious person from within the group who could be trained as a Bible translator. May the Lord show clearly how to proceed so that the Karoninka community owns the work. May He call individuals to be involved who are passionate about making God’s Word available in their mother tongue and who have the potential to be trained and become skilled translators.
