 Short Description:
Responsible for organizing and editing technical and academic material in accordance with publication specifications. Candidate must have a Master of Arts (MA) in Linguistics or related field.

Detail:
Analyzes developments in a specific field to determine the need for revisions, corrections and changes in previously published materials, and development of new materials. Consults with technical writers, administrators, and publishers to establish technical specifications, and determine specific or general subject material to be developed for publication. Assists in resolving problems concerned with developing and publishing subject material. Consults with linguists, Biblical researchers, literacy workers and anthropologists producing draft manuscripts. Edits and corrects final draft to prepare for typesetting. Organizes material according to defined standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, and terminology. May select or recommend graphics such as drawings, diagrams, pictures and charts to illustrate manuscript. May consult in layout of material. May specialize in a particular type of manuscript, such as linguistic articles.
